* All Souls Service

This service provides an opportunity for remembrance for those we love but see no longer.  There will be time for reflection, the church is often quiet and candlelit, with solemn music and readings. Names of the faithful departed are read aloud. It is a service of remembrance, comfort, and trust in God’s promises. All are welcome to attend this moving service irrespective of when you lost a loved one. If you would like their names adding to our prayers, please arrive early so you can write their names on the paperwork at the back of church.

**Combined Services

During interregnum,  services on the fourth and fifth Sundays of the month will be a combined service at St James at 11.00am.

Services of public worship in the Parishes of Chapelthorpe and Woolley are following Covid-19 guidance from the government on Places of Worship and the Church of England. Wearing of face masks in services is optional. On entering and leaving church and before communion, individuals may use the hand sanitisers provided. Communion wine is on offer,  please do not feel obligated to receive it as the Host (wafer) is the key element to receive.
